Whether you're looking for a fun-filled girls' weekend, a romantic get-away, or a family vacation, The Loft on the Square will fit your needs and provide the right atmosphere for a relaxing time away from home! The studio loft includes a comfortable queen bed, a sofa sleeper, a youth camp bed, and an ottoman that converts to a twin bed. A twin and queen air mattress are available for larger parties to use, and plenty of extra pillows and linens are provided! The property manager is available 24/7 to answer any questions.
The beautiful exposed brick walls provide a classic background for "getting ready" photos on your wedding day and is the perfect place for bridesmaids or groomsmen to spend the night after the rehearsal dinner (and after finishing the night with drinks at Hand of Fate Brewery) and then to get dressed & ready for the big day and enjoy lunch in the loft before heading out.

The loft is located in the heart of downtown Petersburg, a lovely historic town which was surveyed by Abraham Lincoln. Conveniently located on the north side of the town square, the loft is within walking distance to many restaurants, craft, antique and clothing boutique shops and is located next door to the popular Hand of Fate Brewing Company's brewery and taproom and Dr. Ugs Drug Store Cafe. Two nearby wineries provide enjoyable, unique atmospheres, beautiful views, and award winning wine.
Petersburg is just two miles away from Lincoln's New Salem State Park , twelve miles from Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area, and about twenty miles from the state capitol, Springfield, and it's many historic sites. Whether you're looking for a quick romantic get-away or an educational family vacation, the loft is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

First Sunday Midwest Bazaar
-Located at the Menard County Fairgrounds just two miles outside of Petersburg, the First Sunday Midwest Bazaar is the place to be the first Sunday of each month (May through October). A large collection of vendors selling vintage, antiques, crafts, home decor, clothing and more, food trucks, wine and beer tastings, live music and bounce houses!
